1. Program & Institution Selection — Choose from recognized institutions including universities, polytechnics, and private education providers registered with the Committee for Private Education (CPE).
2. Submit Application & Receive Offer — Apply directly to the institution with academic documents, English proficiency proof, and relevant supporting materials.
3. Acceptance & Tuition Payment — Once admitted, pay the required tuition fees to confirm your enrollment.
4. Apply for Student Pass (Visa) — Institutions will register you in the Student’s Pass Online Application & Registration (SOLAR+) system. You will then submit your student pass application through the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) portal.

• English Language Proficiency: Most institutions accept IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic. Some may offer waivers if previous education was in English.
• Proof of Financial Means: While not always required for visa processing, students must have sufficient funds to cover:
  • Tuition fees
  • Living expenses (approx. SGD 10,000 – 12,000 per year)
• Comprehensive Health Insurance: Required for the duration of your stay, usually arranged by the institution.

• Student Work Rights: Students enrolled in full-time courses at approved institutions can work up to 16 hours per week during term time and full-time during vacations, subject to institution approval.
• Spouse & Dependent Rights:
  • Unlike other study destinations, Singapore generally does not grant work rights to spouses of student pass holders.
  • Dependents are rarely permitted unless the student holds a work pass post-study.
• Children’s Education: Dependent children of student pass holders may be eligible for admission to local or international schools, subject to immigration approval.

• After graduation, students may be eligible for a Short-Term Visit Pass (valid for 30–90 days) to seek employment.
• Graduates from recognized institutions may also apply for the Work Holiday Pass or transition to a S Pass or Employment Pass (EP) based on job offers and salary thresholds.
